In 2020, a year historically marked by challenges throughout the world, Dom Pérignon has decided to focus its creative energies on a unique experience that will maximise the expression of its sensory qualities, to be enjoyed at home. Thus, the challenge of creating the 2010 vintage gave way to the search for an unprecedented gastronomic fusion.
To take up this challenge, the project required the most revolutionary mastery, that of the renowned and innovative chef Albert Adrià, a clear pioneer, just as Dom Pierre Pérignon was in his time. Dom Pérignon and Albert Adrià, influential references throughout the world, share a journey in which the boundless search for inspiration, the demand for the highest creative expression and the overcoming to consolidate the highest level of expertise are the common denominators.
Given the special nature of the 2010 vintage, Adrià embarks on a retrospective in search of the best possible pairing. He goes back to the beginning of his career, in the 1980s, and reviews his creations up to the present day, concluding with a selection of snacks that once achieved international fame at the emblematic El Bulli restaurant.

The CONTRASTES experience was born from the union of these two challenges, Dom Pérignon and Albert Adrià.
The box was presented in an enigmatic black box, protected by the Dom Pérignon shield as the key to access. Inside, a promising journey unfolds, one after the other, allowing time for the flowering of the senses, for superlative pleasure, for the heightening of the most revealing tasting experience.
The 2010 vintage, a year of contrasts, is protected by two glasses. The iconic snacks created by Albert Adrià, also made with the maximum expression of contrast, are discovered in turn: Yuzu Cristal, Blackcurrant Profiterole, Lyo Corn Biscuits, Raspberry Biscuits, Puffed Saffron Wheels, Nori Seaweed with Quinoa and Parmesan Pizza.
“The Yuzu Cristal is slightly crunchy and tart, while the Blackcurrant Profiterole brings an ethereal balance of sweetness and acidity. The nuances of the Lyo Corn Cookie pair perfectly with the 2010 vintage, giving way to a Raspberry Cookie that combines the fat of the almond with the acidity of the berry. The inflated saffron rolls are a revival of the traditional potato roll and contrast with the Nori with quinoa, a classic Adrià snack that has been served since the days of El Bulli, combining umami and toast.
