Estrella Damm

Since 2012, Albert Adrià has collaborated with Estrella Damm on various projects around the world. From product development, gastronomic congresses, incentive events for clients & pop-up dinners with different chefs in different countries.

MALQUERIDA 2017

In 2017, Estrella Damm presented Malquerida beer, which is said to be a tribute to Latin America, as it is designed to be paired with dishes from gastronomies such as Mexican, Brazilian or Peruvian. Classified as a ‘fresh red’ beer and made with hibiscus flower, orange, barley malt, wheat and corn, Malquerida was born, according to the brand, “from the obsession of the Adrià brothers and their team with the creative possibilities of Latin American cuisine and their insistence on creating a fresh beer capable of accompanying its spicy, sour, intense or fruity flavours”.

The Adriás and their team, made up of Ferran Centelles, Marc Álvarez and Paco Méndez, took a year to find the right recipe, everything to find the perfect combination: the red colour of the hibiscus flower, with the citrus aroma of orange, the acidity and texture of wheat and a hint of corn.
